Real-time data storage system(RDSS) for integrated dispatch and control of power system provides an effective solution for the enterprise information island problem. Application of the complete real-time data sets could improve the power system security and stability, as well as the management performance. Based on the Haixun real-time database, the thesis presented an engineering design solution for the real-time data storage system for integrated dispatch and control of power system, and also provided possible advanced applications of the complete data sets, which has important theoretical value and practical significance.The main contribution of this thesis is, as follows:Firstly, the key techniques for developing RDSS base on time sequence database technology were investigated in detail. The framework and format of the SCADA data access base on E-language was provided, as well as the algorithms of disk caching, data compression and data accessing.Secondly, in order to meet the business requirements for power system operation and control, an engineering design solution for RDSS base on object-oriented technology and B/S structure was proposed in this thesis. The technical architecture, layered structure, visualization interface and so on were all designed with feasible solutions, which could achieve data storage and access of high precision and efficiency.Thirdly, a practical RDSS was developed for Chengdu power grid, with advanced features such as portal administration, remote monitoring centralized management, data analysis and history inversion, etc. Different test methods such as gray-box test were applied for testing the performance and function of Chengdu RDSS, which also proves the feasibility of the design solution presented in this thesis.Lastly, typical applications for the complete data sets of RDSS were investigated in detail, especially the applications in the load forecasting and unit commitment, the analysis results of which would be illustrated by visualization display and could provide assistant decision for power system dispatch and control.
