Due to the steep terrain and complex geological structure, the slopes of railway and highway in the southwestern mountainous area require a higher level of security for construction. Pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall with prestressed anchor cables as a new supporting and retaining structure, not only inherited the advantages of traditional pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall, such as the high capability to control settlement and deformation, great load capacity, easy construction and less investment, etc., but also improve the stress condition of this composite supporting and retaining structure, making the internal forces of each part of the structure transit smoothly, and promoting further optimization of retaining walls section size, beam section size, pile section size and internal reinforcement and anchorage depth and pile spacing of pile. However, as the pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall with prestressed anchor cables is very complex, the interaction mechanism of each part is not clear, we urgently need to analyze this structure comprehensively and propose a complete calculation theory for engineering design.Coupled with research methods and calculation theory of conventional pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall and prestressed anchor cable, in accordance to the actual project, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation for pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall are conducted. Firstly, a complete calculation theory which considers the Pile-Beam deformation compatibility and Pile-Anchor Cable deformation compatibility is presented; Then a numerical model that relied on actual project by ANSYS finite element software is established, and comparing results with the results of theoretical analysis, the reliability of theoretical calculation method is verified. Secondly, contrasting to Pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall without prestressed anchor cables, the actual effect of prestressed anchor pile for pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall is analyzed. Finally, a research on the position of cable anchor, stress value of prestressed anchors and material characteristics of filling-these three major factors is conducted to analyze their specific impacts on pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall with prestressed anchor cables.Through detailed research and analysis, a complete design calculation theory of pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall with prestressed anchor cables is presented, and interaction mechanism of each part is analyzed, and the improving effect of prestressed anchor pile for internal force and deformation of pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall is explained. Meanwhile, on basis of the contrast between the major factors having impacts on this structure, the suggestions for the practical engineering application of pile foundation-trimmer beam-retaining wall with prestressed anchor cables are eventually proposed.
