Equipped with protective armor can improve the military vehicles battlefield survival,It is an important means that ensure mission in complex operational environments. Improving the protection capability of military vehicles armor without losing the maneuver is an important direction on the research of armor.The rapid development and the widely application of honeycomb Sandwich structure provide a new direction for the explorment of the light armor.The ANSYS/LS-DYNA finite element simulation analysis software were used to research the armor anti-penetration performance of honeycomb sandwich structure in this article.Firstly,the anti-penetration performance of the inner concave,hexagon and the square honeycomb sandwich structure is compared.Secondly,the parameters study is carried out mainly on the concave honeycomb sandwich structure,which behaves a negative Poisson’s ratio.The influence of parameters such as the face-sheet thickness, core thickness,core relative density,cell angle,cell size, cell wall thickness and horizontal or vertical placing ways of honeycomb sandwich on the ballistic performance of the panel are systematic studied. In the end, the honeycomb sandwich rubber filling penetration resistance is analyzed.According to the study, the conclusions are listed below: Honeycomb sandwich structure of the central core part in the anti-penetration process gets the highest absorption;The concave honeycomb sandwich structure has the best anti-penetration performance among these three kinds of panels; Panel thickness, core body thickness,core body relative density and cell inside concave these four structural parameters show the monotonous relationship with anti-penetration performance of concave honeycomb sandwich,with the increase of these parameters, sandwich anti-penetration resistance is improved; Relationship between cell size and the anti-penetration performance of concave honeycomb is non-monotonic,when the unit cell of the horizontal wall length 6mm, the sandwich plate for the best overall performance of the anti-penetration;Intermediate core placed on lateral penetration resistance of the sandwich structure is stronger than the longitudinal sandwich structure;After the honeycomb sandwich structure filled rubber bullet after by high-speed impact deformation is small, anti-penetration performance has been improved.The research and conclusions provide a guidance for the design of military armored sandwich panel.
