With the continuous development of power electronics technology, rectifying means it has gradually become the most important power electronic devices of one, but the current conventional rectifier will produce a lot of harmonics, presence of electricity pollution, but also likely to cause distortion of the grid voltage is no longer applicable in a safe, pollution-free power conversion. The improved two-way PWM rectifier, so that the work can not be run in the fourth quadrant, can only reach two-quadrant operation, and a large number of energy storage devices increase the cost. Therefore, the study of a new rectifier is necessary.Matrix Rectifier(Matrix Rectifier, MR) as the current advanced rectifier means possible to suppress power pollution, to achieve unity power factor, high harmonic components through a small capacity processing filter, but also to four-quadrant operation, therefore, Matrix Rectifier it is very meaningful.Firstly, the matrix converter(Matrix Converter, MC) topology view, leads to a matrix converter topology, analyzes the structure of their constitution bidirectional switch, constraints and the basic working principle. Secondly, it analyzes selected control strategy matrix rectifier, deduced by calculating the switching function modulation algorithm for matrix mathematics rectifier theoretically feasible, detailed analysis and comparison of the current space vector modulation algorithm than the switching function modulation algorithm superiority. Again, by introducing commutation compare three ways to select a four-step commutation method as the commutation strategy.Finally, MATLAB / SIMULINK matrix converter main circuit, pulse generating circuit three major aspects, the pulse allocation simulation model, simulation from the input characteristics and output characteristics of the output voltage, the simulation under current instantaneous change in polarity, input harmonic summary analysis of three aspects of the simulation features matrix converter further proved the correctness of the system model and the selected control strategy and commutation strategy is correct. Also use TMS320F2812 DSP-based CPLD and XC9572 L matrix converter hardware design, software design process to provide for the next experiment foundation.
