Water is one of the indispensable precious resources for human survival and development, is the most precious natural resources for agricultural production, industrial production, economic development and environment optimization and unable to be replaced. Water is the source of life, the supporter of life, and the continuation of life. Water is the most important part of human survival and development. In the life of the people, the development of economy, the health of city, urban water supply network system as the city’s "lifeline", "artery", plays a very important role. To improve the people’s living standards, speed up the industrial and city modernization, we must comfort this artery, ensure the safety of water supply network, and strengthen the emergency response capacity of pipeline accidents.Network management and maintenance is the key to the healthy operation of the network security, all countries in the world attach great importance to detect and control the leakage of the water supply network, studied the technology and equipment for pipeline leakage, developed and produced a large number of testing instruments and various control leakage models. However, testing instruments and control models in locating leakage position have defects.This paper aims at the insurance of the health and safety operation of the water supply network, analyzed water supply pipeline leakage detection instruments and control models, found the shortages of leakage detectors and the control models, improved leakage positioning from the mathematical algorithm aspect. According to the acoustic information transmitted from monitoring points, the author combined the improved mathematical algorithm and the computer remote monitoring system for efficiently locating leakage position.Specifically as follows:1, comprehensively and systematically analyze the main methods of detection and control of domestic and international city water supply network, and study the principle and the process of establishment, then point out the shortages of detection and monitoring methods and control method.2, comprehensively analyze the causes of city water supply network leakage. First classify the leakage form through Mechanics, then completely analyze the water supply network leakage from 12 aspects, and put forward countermeasures.3, according to the defects of the test and monitoring methods in the water supply pipe network leakage positioning, and transverse and longitudinal comparison of several acoustic localization algorithm, this paper puts forward TD method, the localization algorithm without speed.4, establish the water supply network real time location system based on the TD method.(1) Horizontally compare the working principle of the 4 kinds of sensors, and determined the performance advantages of acoustic sensor.(2) Investigate and optimize the design of pipe network leakage positioning system from the hardware system, including research and optimization design of acoustic sensor, communication system and power supply system.(3) Investigate and optimize the design of pipe network leakage positioning system from the software system, including the establishment of the database, and the software of water supply network in real time system and analysis processing system.
