With the shortage of water becoming more and more serious, the leakage rate of urban water supply increased year by year, the leakage and control of urban water supply are becoming an important project in water supply industry. The extra pressure released by water distribution modeling, optimization control of valves, division of network. It is effective to reduce the amount of leakage. Base to it, the paper main include under several factors:1. The advantages and disadvantages of three kinds of macroscopic models is discussed, and analyzed the application of various macroscopic models with the real situation in China, quested, and analyzed the hydraulic model of pipe network failure.Base on the study of microscopic models, the main factors that affect model accuracy is analyzed, and defined the methods of pipe network hydraulic model validation and precision. Meanwhile, with the basic information of the pipe network changing, we have to use the new information to check the model validation and correction endlessly, to make the accuracy of the model to achieve the target value.2. The role of the valve in the optimal dispatch of city water supply system is briefly introduced; the Resistance characteristics about the open degree of valve and the transform of the local resistance are analyzed. The relationship between the pressure of pipe network and leakage is studied, and the optimization schedule model of the valve is established and solved to determine which valve to close. Optimum design for water supply pipe network is a question of non-linear programming with inequality constraint condition and multi-objective function, therefore used simulated annealing to solve optimal control of valves.3. After districting water supply network and Installing water meters, we can monitor and control the leakage effectively by reading the water meters which installed in the water user area and in the border of the area. We can find the leakage pipe in time by dispatching to close valves which installed.The most important contents focused in this paper1. In China water distribution network system model has great potential applications of space. Although it has been recognized that water distribution network system models can achieve the scientific management, but water distribution network system models can not keep the advanced character, and are poor of adaptive capacity, urban water distribution network zone lack of scientific. All these provide the chance and challenge for the water supply network modeling. A great deal of work awaits us.2. In this paper, we change the water pressure on each node, reduce the extra pressure by regulating the open degree of valve, the total leakage reduced. This method is economically feasible relative to other methods of leakage control. It can be effectively applied to the control of water supply pipe network leakage, thus the benefit of urban water supply are improved efficiently.3. The zoning planning is an effective strategy to perform management and optimization of water distribution network. Through the closing of valves in the zone and in the border can effectively monitor and prevent leakage. The amount of leakage can be predicted and the leakage pipe can be found where it is. But when the zoning valves closed, it causes deterioration of water quality easily.
