The southwest province of China has many mountainous and complex geological conditions.To sastisfy the construction sites, projects are facing the problem of high fill slope. Buried anti-slide pile as a new pile, effectively retaining the landslide thrust to enhance slope stability, has obvious application advantagesin construction. According to thefactors about the stability of the embankment, rainfall infiltration is a major predisposing factor for the occurrence of slope instability, it changed the distribution areaof soil pore water pressure and caused soil matric suction changes in the process of infiltration, leading reducing of soil shear strength and slope stability. This paperhas two parts including physical model experimentand two-dimensional numerical simulation analysis with makingreference to the numerous domestic and foreignarticlesbased on rainfall infiltration and buried anti-slide pile, using unsaturated flow theory as the theoretical supportandrelying on the Yunnan Metropolitan Slope Project.The research about high fill slopesupporting by buriedanti-slide pile retains rainfall infiltration process, stress and strain, stability analysis of pile-soil and interactionin piles and soils.The main research work are as follows:1.Introducing the research progress about the status of slope stability under rainfall infiltration and development of slope reinforced by buriedanti-slide pile.It summarizes the rainfall infiltration theory including analysis of rainfall infiltration, unsaturated soil shear strength theory, Darcy’s law and penetration – unsaturatedflowequation andslopestabilityanalysis.2.This paper has the experimental research related to the physical model about the Yunnan Metropolitan Slope Project. Through the different changes about slope water content, pore water pressure and the variation of suction under different locations, time and rainfall intensity,it obtains the slope rainfall infiltration law. Bythe distribution changes about surface displacement of hill, soil pressure above the top of the pile and soil pressure around the pile under rainfall infiltration, we can obtain the slope horizontal displacement and interaction variation of soil and piles under rainfall infiltration.3.Analysing the Yunnan Metropolitan Slope Projectwith Plaxis finite element numerical simulation method and coupling rainfall infiltration and deformation, we can get the cloud pictures of soil pore water pressure and soil matric suction under rainfall infiltrationin each time. it reveals the process of rainfall infiltration and changes about infiltration field distribution, including the development of transient saturated zone, the variation of pore water pressure and matric suction. Also we can obtain the law ofpotential slope slip surface of rainfall infiltration from potential slip surface displacement situation in each moment.With the method of finite element strength reduction,we can calculate the coefficient of slope stability safety which we canmake evaluations about. Gettingand analysingthe stress distribution of soil above the top of the pile and landslide thrust behindthe pile andthe pile internal force’s changes in each time, we can get the mechanism about the interaction of pile and soil in slope of being reinforced by buried piles.
