In this paper, with the project of a reinforced concrete half-through arch bridge as the engineering background, and the form of structure, construction methods and monitoring contents are introduced.The spatial structure model is established by finite element software to check the carrying capacity of the bridge, derrick and beam. The influence of concrete shrinkage and creep on the internal force and deformation of arch rib is analyzed. The stability of bridge construction is analyzed. The results show that the structure has a high stability coefficient in the construction process. The dynamic characteristics of the bridge are also analyzed. The result shows that the vertical bending stiffness is greater than the transverse bending stiffness. The optimization measures should be taken to enhance the lateral stiffness of the arch rib when designing this kind of bridge. The influence of the change of camber angle, concrete weight, temperature, lateral stiffness of arch rib and density of concrete on the stress and deformation of arch rib and the internal force of the derrick are analyzed. The sensitivity percentage is calculated and analyzed to distinguish primary and secondary parameters which lead to the stress and deformation of arch rib and the internal force of the derrick changing. In the bridge construction monitoring scheme, the stress and deformation of the beam and arch rib are monitored. Through the comparison of theoretical value and measured value, the technical parameters in the process of construction were adjusted, to ensure the safety of bridge construction. Eventually, the geometry and the internal force state of bridge meet the design requirements. In the control process of cable force, the matrix of cable force adjustment is calculated by using the influence matrix method. The results obtained from this study can provide technical reference for the construction control of similar bridges in the future.
