After the collapse incident of Ronan Point apartment in 1968, we have also experienced the collapse of Federal building in1995 as well as the collapse of World Trade Twin Towers in 2001 etc. With the frequent occurrence of collapse accidents, the "progressive collapse resistance" of the structure has already become a research focus of scholars in many countries. With the development of the times, architectural forms is becoming higher and more complicated so that frame structure has been already unable to meet the requirements. On this basis, frame-shear wall structures are gradually coming into public eyes because of its more uniform force. Given that the most researches of "progressive collapse resistance" only aimed at frame structure, but only a few paid attention to the frame-shear wall structures studying. Therefore, this article takes the frame-shear wall structures as models, studies the "progressive collapse resistance" mechanism of frame-shear wall structures. In this article, two 15-storeys frame-shear wall structures models are designed based on the current code of our country, which should be also followed by the finite element software MIDAS/GEN as well as the analysis methods at home and abroad. Through analyzing the rest of structure after removing the representative columns, we could summarize the rule of "progressive collapse resistance". The details are as follows:1) The research background of "progressive collapse resistance", the research status at home and abroad, as well as the code and analytical method about progressive collapse of various countries are taken clear in this article.2) Frame-shear wall structures models are studied through linear static analysis after removing the representative column of bottom, ninth, and top floor respectively. Then, the change of internal force among adjacent members in the rest part is calculated, while the ability of "progressive collapse resistance" is evaluated adopting demand-capacity ratio (DCR value). Moreover, comparative analysis for the ability of "progressive collapse resistance" has been done on the structures in several cases, such as with different seismic fortification intensity, with or without floor, with regular form or with irregular form etc.3) Nonlinear static method is used to analyse the frame-shear wall structures. And through observing the developmental sequence of plastic hinge in the rest structure, the failure mode of frame-shear wall structure could be obtained. At the same time, the maximum elastic drift ratio in the performance points could also be got to confirm the ability of "progressive collapse resistance" in different structures.4) How to prevent the occurrence of continuous collapse and how to enhance the ability of "progressive collapse resistance" are discussed, too. |
