With the increasing of average life expectancy and the decline of birth rate, the increasing number of ageing people has become the subject of the social concerns. Thus, there appears an increasing rate of older people. The intelligence wheelchair is in very high demand. As the main user of wheelchair, the older people have paid more concern on its comfortability. So, taking a long-term and continuous monitoring on olders’ physical parameters has a significant meaning:first, The elderly is more willing to accept the nursing in the family; second, it has significant guideline to monitoring and recording the physical parameters for the physical status and comfortability of elderly. Currently, the real-time monitoring of human physiological parameter has become a focus in the field of Automation systems and devices.This system uses modular designing ideas, the system is divided into:DSP control module, ARM main control module, human physical parameters collection module. Physical parameters collection module can measure pulse rate, blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, body temperature and many other physical parameters. ARM main control module intelligently analyses physical parameter information, displays physical parameter data, draws electrocardiogram and is in charge of human-machine interaction. In the meantime, a physical parameters intelligent diagnosis fuzzy expert system has been built according to human health status information repository. And this has become the basis of the application software programming. In terms of construction of the system, EBD9263 as ARM control model, CSN808 as human physical parameters collection module have been chosen. In terms of software, Windows CE5.0 as embedded OS has been chosen which realized the convention and the porting of the system. And EVC4.0 as application software development platform has been selected in order to completing software program and testing procedure. In the PC terminal, Lab VIEW as monitoring system has been chosen, which has realized real-time observation of the user’s physiological parameter. With the collected data, the comfortability of user can be analyzed.In the course of the study, a large number of experiments are conducted and the operating system transplant and software design are completed. The real-time physical parameters monitoring system can measure eight main physical parameters of human. With repeated experimental testing, physiological parameters monitoring system achieves the desired design requirements and has high economical and practical value.
