The leisure farm combines farming with tourism, and has established a new type of place for activity with distinction, culture, beautiful environment and plentiful content which is able to sustainably develop. The planning and construction of leisure farm is a process of long-run development.This article concludes the problems within the fast development of leisure farms according to previous researches, such as the lack of scientific programming in the farm, the deficiency of special project construction led by shallow sense of business, as well as the irregularity of the farm management. It overviews the idea of leisure farm, comprehends the features of leisure farm, analyzes the developing situation of leisure farm domestic and overseas, straightens out the developing history and construction theory of farm, deeply explores farm’s comprehensive benefits in economy, society and ecology, and proposes relatively integrated planning strategy.This article takes Lv Mandi Leisure Farm in Beiliu City as example, conducts field investigation on Lv Mandi Leisure Farm by studying relevant cases and using relevant experiences of domestic and overseas farm construction for reference, and systematically analyzes the current problems and natural resources of the farm. Under the premise of meeting the production requirements of the farm, the scheme divides the place into five areas, then makes planning and design of landscape for the farm from landform planning, roading, architectural design, planting design through theories of sustainable development, experience economy, psychology of tourism behavior. It retains and optimizes the road system within the farm and organizes games; adds matching public service facilities; besides, properly improves the form of the water area, runoff path and volume; increases the species and amounts of the plants in the garden, perfects stabilized ecosystem. In the mean time, this article excavates regional culture and leisure experience projects, lays emphasis on the refining of humanistic resources and the innovation of leisure experience activities, enhances the degree of participation, and drives the local economic development.This project is a schematic design in allusion to the farms in Beiliu City and its surrounding regions. Its theoretical direction and programs are limited to some extent, but have certain significance of guiding for the construction of other recreation industries in Beiliu, and can help enrich the regional development of leisure farms.
