Under the background of over exploitation, urban impervious surface area increases, destroyed the natural hydrological cycle, city drainage system does not match with the increasing drainage pressure, causing urban waterlogging is becoming more and more serious. According to analysis the stormwater management measures commonly used at the present stage, summarizes its pros and cons. Use for reference of ancient China on the issue of water resources management, analysis the mature stormwater management concept of domestic and foreign, and try to explore the method of prevention and treatmenturban waterlogging, developing a sponge city to ensure the safety of the city.Sponge city construction has positive effect of urban waterlogging prevention, but constructing sponge city need to build a complete drainage system, including major、minor、micro drainage system correspondingof the macro level, meso level and micro level, respectively.Consider the problem of city waterlogging caused by the shortage of the city drainage system,sponge city construction should considertogether with the drainage and detention together, rational planning of the layout of the three elements includes that urban rivers and lakes system,urban drainage pipe network and LID measures, comprehensive control of urban stormwater problems.
