| At present, in the field of railway location design, the 2D design software AutoCAD is still widely used, and design results are still in form of 2D drawings. It is difficult to change the design habits temporarily. The 2D design results, however, cannot achieve an intuitive visual effect. It is not conducive to check the environment around the line or to display railway line scheme. This paper develops a system with CATIA as a platform. This system can read the 2D design results based on AutoCAD, and realize the 3D visual display automatically and quickly. The main work is as follows:1) Applied CATIA to the 3D visual display of railway line creatively. Put forward the idea of achieving automatic analysis of 2D design results of railway line based on the secondary development of AutoCAD and automatic modeling of 3D scene of railway line based on the secondary development of CATIA. Constructed the overall design of the system inspired by the bottom-up product design concept of CATIA.2) Analysed the landform and surface features in electronic contour map of AutoCAD. Realized the automatic extraction of landform point cloud, and constructed 3D landform in CATIA. Realized the automatic extraction of surface features information and the automatic modeling in CATIA.3) Analysed the center line in 3D space. Put forward the idea of dividing the center line into a number of linear segments based on control points. Based on this idea, achieved the automatic analysis of the plane drawing and the profile drawing.4) Realized automatic modeling of main part of bridge, tunnel and track using CATIA entity type with the center line 3D information extracted.5) Realized automatic analysis of cross-sectional drawing and automatic modeling of subgrade body through the secondary development of AutoCAD and CATIA. Established Effective solution to problems such like subgrade modeling in the cutting sections.6) Created a fairly realistic 3D visual scene of railway line combined with means of rendering and 3D roaming. |
