Research On Construction Of Water-saving Park Green Space In Shihezi, Xinjiang

Park green space is an important ecological infrastructure of urban, and also is an important material support of sustainable development for ecological environment. In the1990 s, the city set off a wave of beautification of the city in park green space construction to provide a recreational place for the residents, but also enhance the appearance of the city. However, routine maintenance of green parks need a lot of water for irrigation,waterscape, recreational facilities and life. In northern China, especially in arid and semi-arid regions of Northwest, originally on the lack of water resources, the construction of park green space adds to the burden of urban water resources.The city of Shihezi in Xinjiang is located at edge of northwestern China, which in the arid cold areas. The remote location and special climate limit the development of the construction of park green space. Construction of park green space in Shihezi copies the city’s domestic and foreign mode With Copinism. The lack of theory combined with the construction of park green space local geographical features results in the development mode of water consumption.Consulting the relevant water-saving theory and practice at home and abroad, a survey was conducted on 6 park green space sample in Shihezi city from plant,waterscape, rain and snow resources utilization, irrigation and recycled water. It discusses the advantages and disadvantages of plant selection and community structure, form and volume of water landscape, utilization of rainwater resources, types of irrigation and water sources of irrigation management and landscape water resources,and analysis the water-saving potential from plant water demand, waterscape demand, rain and snow resources potential, irrigation water use, and park green space water use. According to the analysis results,choose the suitable water-saving measures in Shihezi park green space.At last, taking transformation of Century park as an example, this article puts forward reasonable solutions to saving water, providing reference for the construction of urban green space in Shihezi.
