The Research On Relationship Between High-speed Train Stop Schedule And Train Diagram Capacity

The constructions and operations of high-speed intercity railways are raising to their tides in China, which brought new momentum for traditional railway industry, intensifying the importance of passenger transport strategy making and execution. As an important means of high-speed railway operation, the high-speed railway scheduling can’t override its capacity issue. In the meantime, high-speed railway stop scheduling is being paid considerable attention. Domestic and foreign scholars have done their research extensively with respect to this problem, fruitful achievements. However, a basic question, the train schedule capacity, or the calculation of operating trains based on train scheduling, and its relationship with other factors of train scheduling was overlooked.This paper started with the basic conception of high-speed railway stop schedule, the deciding of train stopping time was discussed and the mathematical expression of train stop scheduling was formulated. And this paper analyzed the structure of train schedules, and compared train schedule capacity with carrying capacity, and specified the concept of train schedule capacity along with the method of analyzing the operating range within a train schedule. And the relationship between train schedule structure and capacity was briefly discussed.Then this paper studied the patterns of train scheduling methods, and analyzed the time-occupancy patterns of single passenger line and combination of multiple passenger lines, through which some important discoveries were made concerning passenger line drafting.Based on above researches, this paper gave a demonstration of the relevance between high-speed railway stop scheduling and train schedule capacity, and the mathematical formulas for calculating the number of operating trains based on the relationship between high-speed railway stop scheduling and train schedule capacity was given under ideal and partially expanded conditions.
