The smart home system is intelligentialize of home environment, and it can let the living condition more convenient and safe. In this thesis, a smart home system is designed which has the ability of security monitoring and remote access based ARM, embedded Linux and zigbee network. The overall structure is designed firstly in thes thesis. And then the hardware system, security monitoring module and softwore system are designed and implemented.The hardware design include zigbee network node and gateway system.The CC2530 wireless processer of TI is researched and the zigbee network node based on CC2530 is designed which include zigbee communication module and baseboard system which include communication port and sensor port. On the part of gateway hardware system, the processer platform of Samsung S5PV210 based Cortex-A8 core is researched, and the hardware system of gateway platform baseboard is designed.For the security monitoring ability, the motion object detection based on computer vision and the development principle of OpenCV is researched. The openCV is also transplanted to embedded Linux, and the frame difference and background difference is simulated on the Cortex-A8 hardware and openCV platform. The thesis select background difference as the arithmetic of security monitoring based the time efficiency and detection effect. And the security monitoring module software is designed based on Cortex-A8, embedded Linux and OpenCV. It also set up simulation environment in lab to analysis the detection performance.On the part of software design, the development principle of embedded Linux is researched, particularly the communication mode between each Linux process, serial port communication and embedded web server, the architecture of embedded web server is pointed out, and the server background program and the communication methord between the server program and other Linux process based on CGI technology is designed. And the thesis also designs the communication protocol between web server foreground and background program and between CGI background program and gateway and between gateway and coordinator. For the zigbee network, the z-stack protocol stack of TI is researched, and the working principle of z-stack protocol stack and the development process of ZCL of z-stack is described in this thesis.Four types of equipment are choosed to develop application programe based on ZCL standard.This thesis realizes the smart home system which has the ability of remote access and intelligent security monitoring, and do some tests from subsystem and whole system to verify the validity of the system.
