With the progress and development of our society and Population growth, lead to the less and less of per capita area, and then the more economical and reasonable forms of land development and utilization began to be raised. In recent years, due to the precipitation caused by the foundation settlement problems occur frequently, lead to the economy of our national has brought significant losses. The influence of precipitation on the surrounding surface subsidence has been an important issue, but in the calculation of foundation settlement has not been a good calculation method, the calculation error has been great.Until the soil settlement of Terzaghi consolidation theory, the settlement calculation of the foundation have made great progress. With the appearance of numerical simulation software, scientists began to try to use the form of numerical simulation to determine the settlement of the foundation. This paper is based on the engineering practice of foundation pit dewatering engineering of Shanghai Metro Line fifteen, and provides theoretical guidance for this project.According to the monitoring data of foundation pit dewatering engineering and engineering survey data, analysis of the ground with the foundation pit precipitation engineering and changes occurred. Analysis shows that the soil has been compressed and ground surface settlement with the continuous development of precipitation, after reaching a certain amount of compression, the settlement of the ground began to reduce the settlement. At the same time, the effect will be reduced with the increase of distance. The research results of this paper provide an important reference for the engineering and the similar precipitation projects in the future.
