Belt conveyor is one of the most important continuous conveying equipments for bulk material in today’s world and has a wide application range. Ordinary belt conveyor relies on support rollers to support conveyor belt and material, when the whole machine becomes longer, the running resistance is mainly produced by a large number of supporting rollers, which could cause huge energy consumption. The permanent magnetic suspension belt conveyor is a new type of low resistance with great potential for development belt conveyor in recent years. It changes the traditional conveyor belt supporting way by magnetic repulsion force between permanent magnet and magnetic conveyor belt with the same magnetic pole replacing support force of roller for conveying belt and material, which realizes no contact support and greatly reduces the running resistance of belt conveyor.Combining magnetic suspension technology principle and mechanics, tribology and dynamics, electromagnetic multidisciplinary knowledge, this paper designs and researches on a suspension support system of permanent magnetic suspension belt conveyor which can make low uniform motion in a straight line (magnetic suspension support system for short), and builds the experimental platform of the permanent magnetic suspension support system. Taking the permanent magnetic suspension support system as the research object, this paper introduces two kinds of calculation methods of permanent magnet space magnetic field. Based on the magnetic levitation theory research, it establishes the permanent magnetic suspension system and deduces the permanent magnetic suspension support system of space magnetic field calculation formula and the suspension force, magnetic force and lateral force of the magnetic conveyor belt. It puts forward the overall design of the model to meet the performance requirements. The structure parameters of permanent magnet material and size, magnetic conveyor belt and so on are designed and optimized. Using Ansoft Maxwell finite element analysis software by changing the factors such as the form and shape of permanent magnet, it makes magnetic force and magnetic induction intensity of the designed model corresponding simulation analysis. Simulation results are made to further improve and optimize the model. Researching on stability of permanent magnetic suspension support system mainly includes on the problem of deviation and vibration of magnetic conveyor belt and gives physical anti blocking and automatic adjustment measures for the solving of the deviation. It designs and builds the experiment platform, through the experiment to verify the reliability of simulation and the feasibility of permanent magnetic suspension support system.In this paper, the suspension support system of the belt conveyor is designed and studied, and the corresponding experimental platform is set up. In this process, the design and optimization theory and method of the permanent magnetic suspension support system has a certain reference value for the study of the follow-up permanent magnetic suspension belt conveyor.
