The shield driving method has been one of the main construction methods in the metro engineering of our country. Tunnel construction technology with shield driven method is being widely used in building Metro engineering because of its’ characteristics and advantages such as automation, safety and speed. Engineering practice shows that shield tunnel construction inevitably causes ground surface settlement and deformation in the construction process, through its technology has developed very mature. The excessive settlement will directly affect the use of ground buildings and construction safety. How to reduce disturbance in the surrounding soils during construction, reduce influence of adjacent building by construction as much as possible, are the always concerned problems.According to this practical project, Hefei Metro No.2 Line crosses under the Wulidun Overpass and the practical geological exploration data, this paper established the shield construction numerical model and analyzed the ground settlement and overpass pier settlement by using the finite element software FLAC3D and field monitoring data.This article main work includes:1. By studying the characteristics of shield method and shield tunnel crossing the Wulidun overpass, reasonable construction monitoring scheme are designed.2. By analyzing the construction monitoring data, draw the corresponding laws of ground settlement and overpass pier settlement. Compared with the results of numerical of shield excavation, verify the feasibility of the numerical simulation prediction of shied excavation effect.3. With the finite element software FLAC3D, this paper established the shield construction numerical model. This paper focused on studying on how the factors including upper casing, tail shield grouting, tunneling pressure and two-lane tunnel’s construction program affect ground and overpass settlement by using the finite element software FLAC3D.
