Currently, the Valve Regulated Lead Battery (VRLA) is an Important part of the DC power supply system of substation. It is mainly responsible for the secondary system to provide a safe and reliable power protection to ensure that the normal operation of control, protection, lighting and the communications equipments of substation. Therefore, the stability and power supply ability of the battery is of great significance.Punch current of substation DC system is very big. During the initial state of the DC system in operating, the current makes great damage to battery, serious shorten its service life. The stability of the battery was great affected. This Paper take advantage of the long cycle life of super capacitor and its large power density, combining the high energy density of battery into hybrid power supply, in order to improve the power of the existing substation dc power supply’s characteristics and reliability; Study the power characteristic of the battery and super capacitor energy storage dc power system,making analysise of the pulse power of hybrid energy storage technology, internal loss, running time and life of power supply, so as to do research of the feasibility of hybrid energy storage used in substation dc system. According to the battery, super capacitor monomer experiment, this paper establishes a more accurate simulation model monomer with the aid of Matlab simulation software. Simulate the hybrid energy storage power performance basing on the actual working condition of hybrid energy, to do the experiment in Zhuhai production factory, honghe hani and yi autonomous prefecture in yunnan honghe substation, luxi substation, the experiment agrees with the simulation, the hybrid power to achieve goals, improve the power output power, prolong the service life of the battery, ensure the stability of the battery.Paper uses the integrated power system for online monitoring of battery power supply capacity, according to the present in charging and discharging device for the substation dc power supply check, causing the electric energy waste problem, studies the bidirectional four quadrant inverter to realize on-line discharge, the power check and test, at the same time to give something back to the electricity grid, achieve the goal of energy saving.Paper finally selects 110kv GeJiu substion, LuXi substation to pilot run, and it runs in good condition.
