Since ancient times, it is a common phenomenon to repair or transform the old buildings, but most people only interested in the old buildings that have historical value. However, the current phenomenon is that there are many kinds and large number of general buildings over the country such as office building, apartment building, factory building, etc. Although they have lost their past glory and unable to meet the changing needs of modern people, but their own structure unreached their service life, tearing down those buildings is bound to cause huge waste of resources and environmental damage, this kind of building is the urgent type which need for significant transformation.Building skin is not only have its own various functions, at the same time, it undertake the function of contacting construction’s channels of inside and outside and interface, it also is the most direct evidence of building overall image. The quality and function of the building affects the using function is comfortable or not, the image of skin appearance determines the most intuitionistic impression to the construction participants. Therefore, it has the urgency and necessity to study for design patterns of the skin reconstruction of old buildings under the current state of the general lack of feasible reference.How to carry on the skin transformation, finally forms a more comprehensive system cognition to guide the transformation design is the question which this article mainly discusses. In this article, we first discuss the classification of skin transformation, and then, we have analysed the skin adaptability of several factors in the old buildings. And we choiced the relationship between the surface modification and function adjustment, the material and the structure of the material and the environment are analyzed. Finally, towards of skin transformation, we summarized the reforming way. And applied to the specific design of the skin transformation.In this article, troughing the design of a corporate training center in Jing Hong, we discussed the influence factors and the feasible pattern of the skin.
