Study On Compound Design Strategy Of Small And Medium-sized Convention And Exhibition Building

As an important development form and trend, the compound convention and exhibition buildings have become very popular in recent years. The modern compound convention and exhibition building not only inherits the characteristics of traditional convention and exhibition building, but add the elements of commercial compound. At present, many super-large convention and exhibition buildings are emerging due to the blind pursuit of political achievements regardless of the regional convention-exhibition economic development. The domestic treatises have been conducted many researches on design theory, experience and method concerning the main function and development status of large-scale convention and exhibition building, but the researches did not involved the compound of small and medium-sized convention and exhibition building in slow convention-exhibition development area.Based on the developing conditions and the development mode evolution of small and medium-sized convention and exhibition building, this thesis started from the development trend of compound design of small and medium-sized convention and exhibition building. It revealings the construction existence pattern to be unitary and layout and scale unreasonable and so on questions. Also clarify the necessity, significance and forms of compound development of small and medium-sized convention and exhibition building by interpreting its functions and spatial forms in different times. Then, this thesis intended to improve the theory system of compound design of small and medium-sized convention and exhibition building from the perspective of demand relation between convention and exhibition building space and usage behavior subject, compound design principle, preliminary planning and post-occupancy evaluation etc. Further, this thesis described the types and characteristics of three function spatial compound modes including horizontal, vertical and compound small and medium-sized convention and exhibition buildings. Meanwhile, this thesis also clarified the design method of dominant space of small and medium-sized convention and exhibition building concerning the demand on multifunctional applicability.The research on project cases combined with theory and practice in this thesis belongs to the category of applied research, which conforms to the research method from theoretical analysis to practical verification,partial to the whole and space to the shape. From present situation question obtaining, it analysis space characteristic and summaries design strategy.It also develop the article connotation by using the fundamental research and example analysis.This thesis conclude the design philosophy that corresponded to the viewpoints of contemporary age as well as the design methods with timeliness aiming to provide certain guidance to compound practice of small and medium-sized convention and exhibition building.
