In recent years, with the rapid development of auto industry of China, on one hand, the development of national economy was promoted quickly, on the other hand, the convenience was brought to people’s life. However, a series of problems followed as a consequence, not only a large amount of fuel was consumed by traditional cars, but also the environment was polluted by emissions. In order to solve the problem of energy and environment, the traditional fuel vehicles would be replaced by new energy vehicles was the trend in the future. As an important part of the new energy electric vehicles, it had important significance to research and develop high efficiency motor speed regulation system to promote the rapid development of electric vehicles. The speed regulation system of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) with advantages of low cost, stable and reliable work ability, flexible control method, large density of electrical energy, strong adaptability to environment, more attention and development were received in recent years. But because of double salient mechanical structure for Switched Reluctance Motor and power supply form of switch, high nonlinear characteristics of Switched Reluctance Motor was obtained, the use scope and field of the motor were limited to some extent. In view of the high nonlinear problems of the motor, in this paper, a new type of control strategy was taken to solve the problem in the process of establishing simulation model for Switched Reluctance Motor in the software development process for control system of Switched Reluctance Motor. In order to improve the efficiency of development, a method,which is Model Based Design instead of traditional way of writing code was carried out in this article.First, the structure of Switched Reluctance Motor, the working principle, operation characteristics and other related content were introduced in this paper.Second, according to the high nonlinear characteristics and large torque ripple of the Switched Reluctance Motor, torque model, torque inverse model and the flux linkage inverse model of Switched Reluctance Motor were identified by the method of ANFIS in the environment of MATLAB/Simulink, then the motor simulation model was simulated and analyzed.Third, in the process of debugging design for Switched Reluctance Motor, in the aspect of software, according to the idea of control structures, control model was established by the application of Model Based Design. The GPIO module, ADC module, PWM module and speed calculating module, etc. were integrated and designed in the model. Then after system configuration, the embedded C code was generated, in the aspect of hardware, the F28335 chip of TI company was chose as the main controller chip, and other parts of the hardware was designed at the same time.Finally, combining the software design with hardware circuit, Switched Reluctance Motor was tested in the case of no load. The experiment shows that ideas and method of Model Based Design in software development for the speed control system design of Switched Reluctance Motor is feasible, a new way for embedded software development was put forward by this way.
