Distributed control is a kind of control technology based on the peer-to-peer exchange of measurement and control information between intelligent terminal, it can improve the performance of control by using the measurement information of multiple sites, and it can increase the speed of control by avoiding using the station centralized control, becoming the development direction of the technology of protection and control in distribution network. In order to increasing the response speed of distributed control, the smart terminal unit should exchange the fault measurement information quickly. GOOSE was used in the real-time communication between intelligent electronic devices in substation, it can finish the transmission of message within 4 ms. The GOOSE message is mapped to the data link(MAC) layer for transmission in substation, the realization of the process is complicated,and the message can not be transmitted across the network, so it can not be used in the distribution network directly. The mapping of GOOSE over UDP can achieve the real-time transmission of message, but it can not meet the requirements of high reliability in the transmission process of GOOSE message.To addressed above drawbacks, a GOOSE mechanism based on TCP protocol is proposed, called as GOOSE over TCP, the realization method is given, the main factors that influenced the real-time of GOOSE over TCP is analyzed, and the optimization measures to improve the real-time of message transmission are given. The main research of this paper are as follows:(1) The related concepts of the distribution network peer-to-peer communication network are summarized, the implementation mode of distributed control and its requirements for communication system are introduced, in the last the distributed feeder automation is token for an example to illustrate the realization process of the distributed control application.(2) Based on the analysis of GOOSE over MAC and GOOSE over UDP, the transmission mechanism of GOOSE over TCP is proposed and the implementation method is given. The main factors that influenced the transmission delay of GOOSE over TCP is analyzed, and the optimization measures to improve the real-time of GOOSE message transmission are given, such as priority processing measures, closing the Negal algorithm of TCP protocol and keeping the TCP communication connection.(3)The test platform of distribution network communication network is designed, the influence of message size, network load rate and the number of nodes which GOOSE message crossed to the transmission delay of GOOSE message is analyzed based on this test platform. The transmission performance of GOOSE over TCP in different network communication environment is tested, and the feasibility of the optimization measures to improving the real-time of GOOSE over TCP are verified. The experiment results show that the transmission performance of GOOSE over TCP can satisfy the needs of distributed control applications in distribution network.In this paper, the real-time data fast peer-to-peer transmission scheme—GOOSE over TCP is proposed, it can cross the network and realize the real-time transmission of GOOSE message, the realization process of GOOSE over TCP is simple, and it has the strong generality. In addition, this transmission scheme can help to popularize the application of distributed control in distribution automation.
