Along with the fast development of urbanization and motorization in cities, urban traffic facing great pressure and contradiction to solve traffic problems. The researchers want to establish full range of high intelligence, high accuracy, high efficiency, real-time dynamic traffic management systems, which improve the transportation network capacity and quality of service reduce traffic pressure greatly.According to the application and development of ITS, base on real-time traffic data, with comprehensive application of GIS technology, spatial database technology and data mining technology, research and design an accurate, effective urban traffic information visualization system. The major work is as follows:Firstly, in order to meet the needs of user, the system construct Oracle9i spatial system while analysis of Oracle Spatial Database Theory in-depth. The system mainly include foundation, police, traffic, traffic management business attribute information content, which successful make GIS system based on Oracle technology. According to the system user’s requirements, the system make functions like traffic flow forecasting, map query, route navigation and emergency plan display and so on.Then, research the visualization system based on mining algorithm, which is studied in this thesis. Based on traffic information collection date, analyze the multi source data by integration methods. By using D-S evidence theory algorithm, to put forward emergency prediction algorithm. Use the BP neural network to put forward model of traffic volume forecast and analysis prediction error rate. Use level of thought, to propose route guidance algorithm test exercise results.Finally, the Youth Olympic Games(YOG) held in "Nanjing as an example, to realize the development of information visualization platform of traffic. Based on Net Framwork3.5 development platform, selecting C# 3.0 as a language platform, using Oracle9i Database management system as the background database, the system is built to complete the design and implementation consisted of traffic information visualization platform. The aim is to build a YOG traffic security command and dispatch system of security situation, command scheduling, traffic organization, equipment design visualization, route guidance and traffic line simulation, plan display functions.The system realizes the real-time control and management of road traffic and provides a visualization support platform for the application and development of Nanjing intelligent traffic information svstem.
