The coverage area of Inner Mongolia region and the grassland are vast, the highways are across the prairie inevitably, it forms the grassland highway that has unique characteristic that the landscape is monotonous and the linear structure is simple. Along with the advancement of "Twelfth Five-year" comprehensively deepen reform’s development as well as the implementation of the strategy of "One Belt and One Road", the total mileage of grassland highway construction will continue to increase. In this situation, the grassland highway traffic safety is gradually attracting the focus of experts and scholars.At present, the prairie highway research focused on the road alignment and landscape evaluation, the setting of traffic signs information on the influence of the driver is less researched. Arrangement of traffic signs provides road information for drivers in time, which can effectively prompt the driver to make the right driving instructions according to the mark information, enhance the safety level of road operation. Especially for grassland highway’s unique plane curve line, traffic sign information settings are missing or overloaded on curve sections, the driver’s driving visual perception and behavior judgment are effected.Therefore, this article is on-the basis of investigation of the typical grassland highway line and the settings of the traffic mark information on curve sections, design real vehicle driving experiment, depend on the driver’s dynamic visual features, carry out the research which specifically aimed at the setting of traffic signs information on plane curve section of grassland highway, analyze the impact on the driver’s visual behavior resulted from traffic sign information such as the type, quantity and setting position. The change of the driver’s visual behavior index can reflect the driver’s visual load level to a certain extent, the paper puts forward the corresponding visual load evaluation indexes, calculates the driver’s visual load under the various indicators,and applies the multiplication synthesis method, establishes a comprehensive evaluation model to evaluate the mark information. Research conclusions are as follows:(1) Traffic Sign type have significant influence on the drivers’ visual indicators.The more complex the sign type, the greater the driver’s visual indicators change.The linear inducing sign and warning signs on the driver’s stimulus are moderate, can play an effective tipping role; Multiple signs information combination and bilateral red and white warning types casue drivers’ visual stimulation induced pile too fierce, performance as the fixation time characterizes very long,the pupil diameter expansion is bigger, it means can easily cause drivers’ nervous emotion.(2) The drivers’ visual characteristics influence factors analysis shows that The smaller the curve radius, the more the drivers’ visual indicators changes; Traffic signs set on the right side of the driving direction is more advantageous to drivers’ visual information processing and safety;The sign number on the drivers’ visual effect is that the more the number, the more difficult the drivers’ visual perception is and the more complex the visual characteristic parameters change.(3) The analysis of the drivers’ visual load evaluation index put forward in the study indicates that,the smaller the plane curve radius is,the more complex the sign type and the more signs, the higher the drivers’ visual load.On the other hand, the load is relatively low.Through multiplicative synthesis model analyze the drivers’ comprehensive visual load level under curve segment sign information,It is concluded that warning sign type and linear inducing signs appropriate to the drivers,and it suggests to set advisable signs information with no more than three on the curve, and set them in front and in middle of the curve segment as far as possible.
