Based on the research of RPC(Reactive Powder Concrete)-filled double skin steel tubular columns under axial compression loading at domestic and international,the experimental study of thirteen RPC-filled double skin steel tubular columns under axial compression is carried out, which have different inside steel tube wall thickness.Utilizing the finite element program ABAQUS simulates the experimental progress of these columns under axial compression loading. In addition, Contrast the RPC-filled double skin steel tubular columns axial pressure learning performance under a new type of mortise and tenon joints and ordinary joints constraint. The main work of this paper is as the following:(1)The research progress and the outstanding features of RPC-filled double skin steel tubular have been introduced briefly and it is pointed out that this new composite structure has broad application prospect in engineering construction. The research results of the RPC-filled double skin steel tubular columns at domestic and international are summarized, and briefly introduces the preparation technology of RPC and research of concrete filled steel tube joints.(2)The production and static test of the thirteen RPC-filled double skin steel tubular columns have been completed. In the experiment, the strain and displacement of the columns have been measured and we have obtained a large number of important experiment data on ultimate bearing capacity. The change of stress state and the failure pattern of RPC-filled double skin steel tubular columns under axial compression loading have been observed, and the load-strain curves and load-displacement curves of RPC-filled double skin steel tubular columns under axial compression loading has been recorded. Proposal a bearing capacity formula about inside steel tube wall thickness on the basic of original formula.(3)By using commercial software ABAQUS, a nonlinear finite element model of RPC-filled double skin steel tubular columns under axial compression is established.The load-strain curves and the stress nephograms of damage have been compared between nonlinear finite element model and experimental results.(4)Introduces the prefabricated components and assembly method of a new type of mortise and tenon joints.And compare RPC-filled double skin steel tubular columns axial compression performance under the mortise and tenon joint and ordinary jointfrom the hollow ratio,thick of steel pipe, steel ratio.Compare the bearing capacity of the new node under different length of mortise.
