Recently, with the concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) structure used in more and more high-rise buildings and bridges, a new kind of CFST — concrete-filled double skin steel tubular (CFDSST) is studied gradually by some researchers and engineers. Theses members consist of two concentric steel tubes with concrete sandwiched between them. In the past, many studies have been performed on CFDSST members with circular or square sections.
