With the economic development of the Bozhou area, higher requirement for capacity of power supply and quality of the regional power network is required; A regional power network is an important carrier of electricity transmission and distribution in a city. Stable, safe, reliable and economic operation must be ensured in the network. Combining the actual situation of the power supply of regional power network, this paper collects the parameters of transmission line, the transformer and the load distribution, and then builds the actual model of the regional power network by using the algorithm model for direct power flow and the PowerWorld software. What is more, power flow distribution and Voltage profile are analyzed and calculated at cases of maximum load and minimum load in 2014 in this paper. Thus, the paper proposes both the recommendations and treatment measures for the problems arises from the power system, counts the line load rate and loss in the case of the maximum load, and analyses the power supply capacity load characteristics and the other limited element at the criterion of "N-1 security" and "N-2 security ".Additionally, it forecasts of the maximum load in the next three years, and analyses the system flow and ratio of line load at the same time. According to the problems and weak links of power network, this paper also puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for optimization respectively. By simulating the regional power network fault outage of N-1, solution that load and the voltage distribution are not balanced in some parts while not meet the need of "N-1 security criterion" is discovered. As a result, the paper, combining with the actual situation of power network, puts forward a control measure for the accident, and proposes an infrastructure plan and some advices of building a new 220kV, 110kV substation and the supporting facilities. The result will not only increase ratio of line capacity load and improve equipment utilization, but also can take measure to maintain stable operation if it is necessary. By analyzing the regional power network with the "N-1 security criterion", the corresponding result will own practical value in the dispatching operation work.
