This paper firstly retrospects the mesh principle and mesh characteristics of double-arc gear. In the review of its mesh characteristics, the key points are Double circular arc gear tooth on the same two at the same time, the contact point of the axial distance, multipoint meshing feature, and the minimum tooth width of tooth meshing characteristic more choice. The research lays a theoretical foundation for the researches on the mesh point’s force distribution of double-arc gear under the situation that the different of the member of the mesh points、Meshing tooth logarithmic in the following chapters.This paper employs into the envelope method the double-arc gear with different modules and ratchets that are needed in this paper, draws on the experience of the method on potential energy method, which is used for calculating the Meshing stiffness of involute spur gear, and similarly analyzes the methods to calculate the meshing stiffness on the double circular arc gear meshing points. Enough preparation has been made for the following research by calculating the Meshing stiffness on mesh point of double-arc gears with different modules and ratchets by matlab programming.The highlight in this paper is that a new mechanical model has been established. We suppose that the gear doesn’t deform, but the deformation occurs on the ratchets, and in this situation this paper analyzes the mesh point’s force distribution of double-arc gear transmission device. The comparison has been done under two different conditions, namely taking the ratchets’deforming of the double-arc gear and ignoring it. The research on the mesh point’s force distribution of double-arc gear are completed respectively under the two circumstances. When we ignore the ratchets’bending and deforming of the double-arc gear, the analysis draws an important conclusion that the force distribution of double-arc gear in every mesh point are average. When we take the ratchets’bending and deforming of the double-arc gear into consideration, the research classifies the different conditions in different mesh point and gets a method to calculate the force distribution in the mesh point of double-arc gear. Some important conclusions about the force distribution in the mesh point of double-arc gear are listed here.
