Nowadays, the most important question that obstructs the sustainable development of human being are Energy crisis and environmental pollution, while searching for the renewable and clean energy resources is the essential way to solve it. The characteristics of Photovoltaic(PV) generation is widely use and clean, so PV generation is getting more and more attention, which booms the PV industry. But the output of PV generation fluctuates randomly, which may interrupt the stably running of the grid when it connected. For the sake of make the PV better serve to production, this paper discussed about the impact of the operation of Photovoltaic Generation Connected to Grid. Meanwhile, the paper also have research on the field of effect of islanding and the methods of detection of islanding.Firstly, this paper presentation the principle of Photovoltaic battery and the operation of Photovoltaic generation. At the same time, the photovoltaic battery array of equivalent circuit and mathematical model, energy storage systems, and photovoltaic inverter control strategy was analyzed. Using Matlab/Simulink software to set up the model of photovoltaic generation system, the simulation and experimental results verify that the method is effective and feasible.Secondly, on the basis of the photovoltaic generation system model, in the view of three phase short circuit, single-phase short circuit, phase fault, this paper finished the research of the failure characteristics of photovoltaic system connect to grid. In order to understand the function of photovoltaic energy storage system, and also this paper have discussed the different of transient state between the energy storage systems exist or not.Again, Photovoltaic power generation system will affect the original Relay protection. This paper draw a conclusion of the effect of the Overcurrent protection, Distance protection, Inverse time overcurrent protection and Auto-reclosure When PV generation system connected to Grid. At the same a new fault location scheme based on T area have been proposed. The simulation and experimental results basis on Matlab/Simulink verify that the method is effective.Finally, the micro grid of photovoltaic islanding detection technology is discussed and also the effects and detection method of islanding have been introduced. Meanwhile a new method of islanding detection which is Islanding Detection Method Based on Short-Filtering Device for DG System have been proposed. Finally, the simulation and experimental results basis on Matlab/Simulink verify that the method is effective.
