With the gradual construction of nine million kilowatts of wind power base,the proportion of wind power in the electric power system increase significantly. A large scale of volatile wind power tend to transmit to the other high-load region in" Wind-Thermal power bundling" way,which benefits society and also brings new problems to the power system stability. Firstly, a wind power base of Chifeng actual power grid transient process simulation is analyzed,and it illustrates the urgent necessity of wind power base active control measures. Through the analysis of the difference of between wind power base active emergency control and conventional synchronous active emergency control, wind-power base active power emergency control methods are identified. Four kinds of wind power base active emergency control algorithm are proposed. Finally, policies of active power emergency control for a wind power base in Chifeng are verified,which determines the optimal control strategy for wind power base. Details are as follows:(1) Use PSD-BPA software to build a steady state and dynamic simulation model for a wind power base in Chifeng. Respectively, accomplish transient simulation and analysis of power system fault without tripping machine and with tripping wind-thermal power. It proves the necessity of wind power base active power emergency measures.(2) Comparison of conventional active power emergency control means, including cutting machines, fast closed doors, electrical braking and analysis of the wind power base active power emergency control features are accomplished which illustrates that tripping wind farms and tripping wind generators in the farm can meet the requirements. Algorithms such as tripping a combination of wind farms, considering the equitable distribution of wind farms, tripping a combination of wind farms and wind generators in the farm, sorting with considering wind farms with the cumulative number of tripping wind generators in unit capacity are established for wind power base active emergency control. The control deviation value, difficulty of algorithm, number of controlled wind farms, number of tripped wind generators, operating economy are selected as index for comprehensive evaluation of the control methods.(3) This article developes an active power emergency control strategy for a wind power base in Chifeng. Specific embodiments have been verified. Through comprehensive analysis of the six indicators of four methods, the optimal control strategy is confirmed for the wind power base.
