At present, wind power has been one of the main use form of the current clean energy. Large-scale wind power grid will be harmful to distribution network whose structure is relatively weak. It is necessary to adopt the optimized grid-connected measures within the wind form in order to improve the stability of voltage and active power, and further improve power quality in wind form. Moreover,it is important to regulate the active and reactive power output of wind farms according to requirements of the scheduling, and insure the safe and stable operation of power grid in cooperation with the power grid company. At the same time, reducing the internal adjustment loss of wind form and improving the efficiency of the wind farm operation are necessary. Therefore, active power control problems and reactive power control problems in the grid-connected wind farm have been the urgently key problems to be solved. This article mainly stretches the research work from the grid-connected control strategy and the design of active power & reactive power control system of wind farm and so on. The main work sums up as follows:(1) On the basis of thorough analysis of operational control principle of doubly-fed wind power generator, this paper proposes the requirements of grid-connected and the strategy of active power control and reactive power control.(2) On the basis of thorough analysis of operation status quo in Ma-Toutan wind form, combining the basic control requirement of wind farms, the overall framework of wind farm control system was designed in the paper, mainly including wind farm operation data real-time processing, wind power active power control module, the wind farm reactive power/voltage control module, communication interface, external systems or equipment monitoring module and so on.(3) A set of wind farm grid-connected control system was designed based on the running characteristic of the wind turbines, which was used practically in Ma-Toutan wind form. Fully considering the steady state and transient operating conditions and wind turbines real-time running status, the system uses the advanced PLC real-time communication technology to improve the equipment timely response and precision control. The system has interactive interface, and operating personnel can choose the allocation schemes and adjustment methods according to their needs which can reduce the equipment loss caused by wind turbines adjusting. The system can meet the target of safe, reliable and economic operation, and provide the necessary technical support for the security of Ma-Toutan wind form.
