Kunming, located in Sichuan-Yunnan block uplift zone of Kunming sag level 3 new tectonic zone, is the important part of new tectonic uplift area on the background of eastern Yunnan strong Fracture and sag lake basin region. Strong earthquake zone which is constituted Pudu river fault belt directly through the Kunming city has repeated more than 6.0 earthquake. The public buildings’Seismic fortification category for structures is more than Key fortification. If it damaged in the earthquake will cause great casualties, direct or indirect economic loss and huge social influence. Therefore, the work of seismic analysis and seismic damage prediction of the important public building in Kunming is particularly important and urgent.In the middle of August in 2014,the seismic survey team (architectural engineering institute, Kunming university of science and technology) began to collect the basic information of the important public buildings in kunming, after sampling field investigation. On the basis of collecting data and field investigation data, analyzed the seismic of Kunming important public buildings and puted forward suggestions. After the introduction of seismic damage prediction,we prodicted the earthquake disaster area for the important public building in Kunming and provided some scientific basis for the defense of earthquake disaster.The research work mostly includes following aspects:(1) Base on consulting and searching a number of related literatures and books at home and abroad, the background, significance,commonly used methods and their differences were proposed.(2) Completed the report of Kunming important public buildings seismic capacity of census. Through the investigation of the characteristics of the building structure and disease, the structural characteristics and seismic performance of the important public buildings in kunming are studed.Besides,several suggestion that attempt to allebiate the problems of buildings are proposed in this thesis in order to improve the anti-seismic capacity of the important public buildings in kunming.(3) The statistic of historical city earthquake disaster loss estimation in yunnan province and Collection of computer numerical simulation analysis and vibration table experiment simulation analysis of single earthquake disaster simulation data. Added urban housing construction in the form of new modern building structure amd forming earthquake damage matrix of the city.(4) Predicting the seismic damages for the important public building in Kunming. Besides, Analyzed the damaged area of the building under different earthquake intensity.The predictibe result of damage areas used as scieentific basis of making seismic measures and seismic disaster defense system about there buildings.At last, based on a comprehensive summery of the main work about this thesis,several problems on this research topic demanding study further are brought forword.
