The Research Of Composite Space Design Of Hotel Buildings

Hotel is the material basis and guarantee of the tourism economic development, it also has a great motivational effect on a city’s economy. With the development of tourism and the improving quality of the city life, the hotel internal activities, functions and value orientations have become increasingly polynary and complicated. Modern hotels have evolved into the composite and integrated buildings, and some of the spaces inside the hotel are also tending to composite in order to adapt to the demand, to become composite spaces. While working in different functions it contains, the composite space is producing more efficient polymerization effect through the synergistic effect from each space.This thesis synthetically analyses kinds of characteristics of hotel composite spaces and preliminary explores the related design methods of hotel composite spaces through the related theory of composite spaces and the present situation of the hotel composite spaces design. This thesis aims at providing some ideas to the design of future hotel composite spaces with the study of design methods, promoting the development of hotel design and realizing the continuous improvement of the hotel itself and linking with the city life better.First of all, starting with the research background of the thesis, the author collects and organizes the related theories of hotel design and composite spaces, seeks the related theories for reference as the theoretical foundation for further research. And the author investigates some composite spaces in several star hotels with the methods of observation, interview and shooting, and analyses the reason they appear, influencing factors and the main principles of design. After that, with the theoretical research and practical research and analysis of the cases, from macroscopic to microcosmic, main design approach to the specific construction technique of spaces, the author makes specific induction and summary of the design methods of hotel composite spaces. Finally, using the method of combining the theoretical research and instance, the author illustrates the application of research in the project combining with practical project, specifically designs the hotel’s location, general layout, construction monomer and the internal and external spaces.
