| The slot-restricted aerostatic bearing has the advantage of uniform and continuous pressure distribution. With the decrease of gas film clearance, the static characteristics of the aerostatic bearing will be improved such as the bearing capacity and stiffness and so on. In this paper, the main task is to study the static characteristics of the slot-restricted aerostatic bearing under micro gas film. Simulate and calculate the flow filed within the bearing clearance using FLUENT software. Firstly, the simplified model of the flow filed in the slot-restricted aerostatic bearing was established in the preprocessor Gambit, and to division grid of the model and define the type of boundary; Thereafter, the grid file is imported into FLUENT and simulation is carried out. And then calculate the slit structure of the slot-restricted aerostatic thrust bearing under micro gas film clearance, and the effect of slit structure on bearing characteristics is analyzed theoretically. In order to compare the simulation results with the experimental results easily, the slot-restricted aerostatic disc thrust bearing was selected in this paper study. Analyzing and comparing static characteristics of the discontinuous slot-restricted thrust bearing and the radial bearing under different air supply pressure; And analyzing and comparing static characteristic of the continuous and discontinuous slot-restricted thrust bearing under different gas film; Respectively from structural parameters, such as the slit width and depth and so on, to analyze the influence law of the slot-restricted structure on the bearing static characteristic. Finally, discuss and research processing technology of the slot-restricted aerostatic thrust bearing. To design and machine a slot-restricted thrust bearing and to test it use the experiment table that independently developed. And measured the effect of the variations of film thickness on the bearing capacity and stiffness under different supply pressure, then, compared the experimentally measured data with the results of the theoretical analysis to prove the correctness of theoretical simulation analysis and calculation. |
