The spectrometer is an optical instrument to analyze and measure the structure and composition of the material by using the principle of optics. It has very high sensitivity and accuracy, and is widely used in the field of scientific research and analysis. Due to its wide use in application, fast in analysis speed, less amount of sample in size, it developed rapidly in recent years. The hardware system of the modern measuring instruments needs the corresponding software to drive to do the normal operation. The spectrometer is controlled by the embedded or the integrated software, and it is one of the important parts of the spectrometer. Therefore, it has very important significant to do the research work and to develop the practical and reliable control software of the spectrometer for the promotion and improvement of the instrument.In this paper, on the base of the analyzing of the history and current situation of the spectral instruments in China and abroad, and the requirement of the actual needed in practice, a new fluorescence spectrometer control software design is proposed according to the project design requirements also.The functions of the file management, the instrument operation, the data processing and the printing of the result are included in this software. It can satisfy the requirement of the fluorescence spectrometer, and it is the same as the functions of the similar software of the instrument in china and abroad. Besides, by comparing the analysis the four methods of the average value filtering, the median filtering, the cubical smoothing algorithm with five-point approximation filtering and Savitzky- Golay(Referred to as S-G) filtering are used for the noise reducing in the spectral data processing, and get the result of the best filtering method.Delphi7.0, the object-oriented programming software platform is used to develop the application software of fluorescence spectrometer. It can connect to the spectrometer hardware. The every modules of the software has passed the test and satisfied the requirement of the design. This system software is friendship in the interface, easy to operate and is good at the compatibility.
