Active distribution network (ADN) can improve the intermittent renewable energy consumptive rate, making the interaction of grid and user possible. ADN is the future trend of distribution network. At present, China’s first ADN demonstration project has been put into operation. However, resources in AND has strong volatility and changes quickly, so that there are still many difficulties in optimization control. Researching on calculation strategy of power supply and storage limits of local autonomy control region (LACR) in ADN is of great significant for achieving global-regional coordination optimization control.This thesis describes the coordinated optimization strategies of ADN, analyzes the characteristics of the LACR in ADN, and establishes the calculation model of power supply and storage limits of LACR. According to the characteristics of the control variables in the proposed model, an improved adaptive particle swarm optimization has been put forward. Based on the improved adaptive particle swarm optimization, calculation program has been written in Matlab. Using the 33-node ADN system as a test case, power supply and storage limits of LACR has been calculated and analyzed. By comparison with standard particle swarm optimization run results, it’s proved that the improved algorithm has better feasibility and superiority.Then, considering all DGs in ADN are involved in reactive power optimization, the thesis analyzes the utilization of the reactive sources in AND and establishes the calculation model of positive effective reactive power reserve of dynamic reactive power source. The results under four typical operating conditions have been given and analyzed.Furthermore, research on ADN operating range. First, considering the controllable source of active and reactive power source as control variables, the power supply limits of ADN has been calculated and analyzed. Then, by analyzing the results, the external characteristic of power supply optimization model has been proposed to achieve the optimization of active power supply and reactive power supply. Finally, the external characteristic curve of power supply has been drawn and analyzed using the operating results.Based on the above, analysis the effect of port voltage of LACR on the external characteristic curve of power supply of LACR. Using the improved 33-node ADN system as a test case, the external characteristic curve of power supply of LACR on different port voltages has been drawn and the trend of the different curves were compared and studied.
