With all kinds of nonlinear loads in power system and the increase of the power electronic devices, the growing of the reactive power and harmonic pollution to brought serious harm to the electric utility grid. As a kind of dynamic compensation of active power filter device, can effectively compensate the reactive power and harmonic power distribution system, has extensive application prospect. In the research of active power filter is late in the developed countries, the development and application of the device is relatively backward, so the research of active power filter has the vital significance.This paper Based on the parallel active power filter as the research object, first elaborated the basic principle of active power filter (SAPF), analyzes the topology structure of SAPF, respectively, in the static coordinate system and rotation system, the mathematical model of the system. Then introduces the algorithms for harmonic detection, and analyses the instantaneous reactive power algorithm is widely used, the analysis and comparison based on instantaneous reactive power algorithm of p-q and ip-iq Then, the paper introduces the current control algorithm is commonly used in active power filter, has analyzed the most widely used engineering design process of digital PI controller, in view of the digital PI controller with respect to compensation effect, proportion of quasi resonant control algorithm is proposed to compensate harmonic and compensate the harmonics effectively. Then, set up under MATLAB/SIMULINK software simulation model of shunt active power filter through the simulation results verify the validity and feasibility of the theory mentioned above.Finally, design the parallel active power filter based on DSP (Digital Signal Processing)chip control, the hardware circuit and its parameters are calculated and designed.Finally, this paper design a three-phase four-wire active power filter based on DSP chip, then calculate and design the hardware circuit and its parameters.
