Lots of power electronics devices was used in each field,which has brought serious harmonic pollution problems.As a new type of harmonic compensation device,APF that played a role in the power grid harmonic control and reactive power compensation.This paper designs a APF with high harmonic detection speed and high harmonic compensation precision,which can effectively solve the problem of harmonic pollution in power grid.The paper first discussed the research background and significance of the subject,and analyzes the research status of APF.To study the structure and working principle of active power filter,and to set up the Simulink simulation model of APF based on instantaneous reactive power theory.From the simulation results,it is concluded that the traditional harmonic detection method has a large delay problem.To improved the harmonic detection speed and current compensation accuracy of APF,a LMS low-pass filter based on variable step size is designed to improve its flaws.For the purpose of improved the compensation accuracy of APF,which designed a current compound control method based on repetitive control and PI control.The research method is proved correctly through the complete APF simulation model.Finally,the hardware and software of APF are studied.In this paper,LPF is studied in power active filter.The Butterworth filter,the integral filter,the LMS filter and the LMS low-pass filter are designed respectively to improve the response speed of the harmonic detection.But the last one of the LPF is better than the other methods.The simulation models were set up for various research methods,and compared the results of each method.The composite control method can realize the tracking control,which lays the foundation for the realization of SVPWM control and the DC voltage control.The results show that the LMS harmonic detection algorithm based on the instantaneous reactive power,which has a simple and clear structure,fast response time and strong adaptability,and improves the performance of harmonic detection.The composite current control algorithm realizes the tracking control of the command current fast and without static error.SVPWM algorithm makes the switching frequency of the system fixed to reduce the switching loss.The DC voltage PI control improves the stability of the APF compensation system.The APF has been established to meet the requirements of harmonic compensation,which provides theoretical support for further practice research.
