It is beyond the occupational standard that the design of the height of the Hydropower Engineering is more than 200m above; Taken the blank of river basin cascade reservoirs safety standards into consideration, Zhou Jianping etc. proposed that it is time to set up a new safety criterion based on special class of Hydropower Engineering, which aimed to raise the level of risk prevention and protect the cascaded hydroelectric system from being ruined. Hydraulic engineering slope design standard prescribed that the class of slope is mainly dependent upon the class of hydraulic structures it served, due to which it has to study deeply that whether the slope of the dam above 200 m height has the same criterion as before. For working the problem out, the safety criterion of special 2 level dam and 1 level has been investigated. After the preliminary demonstration, we come to the conclusion that the year-calculated invalid probability of special level slope is 1 × 10-6, reliability index allowable value is 3.7 and safety factor allowable value is 1.45.Three steps have been adopted to demonstrate the safety evaluation of the special Hydropower Engineering discharge structure high slope:(l)Check the slope risk criteria and study the single slope risk standard:Comprehensive analysis of safety level, the acceptable level of risk in different parts, a reliable investigation of results of previous research and the reliable safety factor.(2) Take the risk of Cascade Reservoirs life cycle into consideration and create a new slope safety criterion related to the paper "Risk classifications and design criteria for dams with extra height:fundamentals and applications."(3)Verify the reliability method relative safety factor theory by using the typical rock slope model based on the relevance of traditional safety factor theory and the reliability method safety factor theory. With the thoughts that the two methods should come to the same conclusion, this paper determined the safety factor of cascade reservoirs discharge structures slope and validate the rationality of security control standards by using 8 project example...
