Pure electric vehicles AMT automatic shifting process requires accurate detection of the shift position to prevent the occurrence of failure in gear. There are many disadvantages in the traditional automatic transmission system. The performance of the gear position sensors and gear switches are instable. The installation of gear position sensors and gear switches are also inconvenience. Therefore, to accurately shifting gears must be accurately detected. A Pure electric vehicle AMT range detecting system was designed in this paper to replace the position sensor.(1) Pure electric vehicle AMT and Pure electric vehicle AMT range detecting system was analyzed to develop an overall design scheme of pure electric vehicle AMT range detecting system and system controller.(2) The hardware of Pure electric vehicle AMT range detecting system controller and Motor drive system is completed. The hardware design includes the design of each module circuit, motor drive system hardware design includes the selection of motor and motor driver.(3) Adopting modular design concept, the software of pure electric vehicle AMT range detecting system is completed, includes main program and the upshift, downshift, stop, reset four function modules.(4) The debugging of pure electric vehicle AMT range detecting system is completed. Through laboratory testing and field testing, all functions of the system meet the design expectation.
