Through village road has always been prone to traffic accidents as its complicated traffic system, while researches about it are relatively few. Previous studies have mainly focused on macro fields such as road design and traffic conditions. However, studies on road users especially drivers of through village road are rare. As the dominant part of traffic activity, driver is the most important factor of transport system, and also the most complex factor. This paper takes through village road where person, vehicle, road and environment are relatively complex as research subject, introduces decision speed and research the quantitative expression method of driving behavior which changes with traffic system environment through the relationship between decision speed and acceleration.Firstly, this paper chooses five typical through village roads which locate in both south and north, mountain area and plain as research subject. Investigate the key factors including road, traffic and driver feature which affect the through village road driving behavio.The second part introduces the concept of decision speed to quantitatively express driving behavior from the angle of drivers’ reaction of driving environment. The generating process of driving behavior follows the cycle process of "Perception-Judgment- Decision- Control- Feedback". There is a correlation between decision speed and vehicle, driver, driving environment.This paper gets the experiment data by driving simulation based on driver features of through village road. Analysis experiment data with one-way ANOVA and nonlinear least squares function fitting methods by using SPSS and MATLAB to study the change rules of decision speed and relationship between acceleration and it. The study shows that decision speed changes regularly with road and traffic and the change of decision speed has a significant effect on changes in acceleration. Relational model can be accurately described by cubic function.Therefore, decision speed can be the theory basis of the examination and verification of through village road. There are significant changes in the relationship between the decision speed and acceleration. The relational model can be used for calculating decision speed under the current that decision speed cannot be directly measured and make the practical using of decision speed in through village road become possible.The third part of paper builds a three dimensional visualization simulation scenario of through village road to research decision speed and acceleration by driving simulator and gets mass of experimental data. Getting the cubic function relation model of decision speed and acceleration by using one-way ANOVA and nonlinearity least square function fitting method by SPSS and MATLAB. Compare the changing rules of decision speed and acceleration in different road traffic environment. As the quantitative expression of driving behavior, decision speed can reflect the road traffic changing of through village road better than acceleration, and has a better practical application worth in safe evaluating of through village road.
