In recent years, with new composite materials like carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP) widely used in civil structural engineering, the new technology of concrete structure reinforced with near-surface mounted(NSM) CFRP has been extensive attention. Some achievement and engineering practice have made in engineering, but there is also some theoretical and technical problems. There are some shortcomings while mounting non-prestressed CFRP to strengthen concrete beams, durnning the loading process the crack width and height of the beam is too big as well as deflection, the ductility of the beam is too bad, and the high strength advantage of CFRP reinforced less play to the defects ect. When reinforced concrete beams with NSM prestressed CFRP reinforcement, there is short of efficient equipment, and the process of prestressed tension is complex, and higher cost. In response to these problems, strengthened beams method of NSM CFRP-PCPs compound reinforced(carbon fiber reinforced polymer prestressed concrete prisms, this article referred to as "CFRP-PCPs compound reinforced)concrete prisms was proposed, the analysed experiment and theory and achieveing the expected effect. This paper was based on self-developed CFRP-PCPs compound reinforced to strengthen reinforced concrete, completed experiments of the strengthened flexural and shear reinforced concrete beams, the main research contents and results are as follows:First, based on the research results of home and abroad which about composite reinforced concrete structural element, 8 reinforced concrete beams which near surface mounted CFRP-PCPs strengthened flexural experiments and 8 reinforced concrete beams mounted CFRP-PCPs strengthened shear experiments have been conducted, the experimental process and phenomenon have been described in detail and the test results have been theoretical calculation analyzed. Through the tests, development and distribution of cracks of each specimen have been described; the characteristics of load-deformation curves and flexure lines have been gotten; the load-stress increment contrast curve of the CFRP bar which in the CFRP-PCPs element have been draw out.Second, from strengthened flexural experimental study by 8 reinforced concrete beams which near surface mounted CFRP-PCPs, failure modes of reinforced concrete beams mounted CFRP-PCPs have conducted a systematic analysis. The ultimate bearing capacity calculation method of reinforced concrete beams mounted CFRP-PCPs with different lengths which have happened stripped failure have proposed. Calculations and experimental results agree well. Proposed calculation methods of cracking load, and the crack,deflection and ductility of reinforced concrete beams mounted CFRP-PCPs have been analysed, and the related calculation method have been proposed.Third, from strengthened shear experimental study by 8 reinforced concrete beams which near surface mounted CFRP-PCPs, failure modes of reinforced concrete beams mounted CFRP-PCPs have conducted a systematic analysis. Capacity calculation method which shear failure based on prism of CFRP-PCPs has been proposed. Calculations and experimental results agree well.
