In order to independently research on the protection of nuclear power plants, it is crucial to carry out experiments of large aircraft model hitting the target. The impact load is very large in such impact process, and the cost of load measuring sensor system will be very high. There is no guarantee that the impact load can be detected, therefore building a dynamic load test method is necessary. In the experiment of large aircraft model hitting the target body, the dynamic impact load of the target body can be obtained indirectly by measuring the acceleration of the target.According to the structural and breakage characteristics of large commercial aircrafts, 6 kinds of typical aircraft simulation structures were designed, which can cooperate with nylon coats, based on typical model plane. According to the requirements of the test, the relating moving target body is designed. The highest impact load and the maximum acceleration of the target body were predicted by Riera formula, thus the suitable range of the force sensor and the acceleration sensor can be selected. The crippling stress of the typical model plane was calculated, and the maximum acceleration of typical aircraft model was obtained by selecting the suitable missile acceleration sensor. DISAR was chosen to measure the target velocity. The breaking process of typical model plane was recorded using high-speed photography. The feasibility of testing scheme was verified via the test, which could lay a solid foundation for experiments of medium and large model plane hitting a moving target body.Parameters such as the impact load, acceleration and velocity of the target body, and the acceleration of typical model aircraft were measured in experiments to provide a basis for theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. The validity of the test method and test data were verified by comparing and analyzing the experimental data. The impact load of the target body was calculated by multiplying target body acceleration with the quality of target body, and was then compared with the impact load measured by the force sensor. The change trend and the amplitude of calculation and experimental results are the same, indicating that the impact load can be measured by the acceleration sensor. Thus a dynamic load test method is established.According to the acceleration of typical plane models, the crippling force and the impact load of the typical aircraft can be obtained considering the linear density. The impact loads from theoretical calculations and the force sensor measurements show the same change trend and amplitude. The Riera formula is verified and the correction factor is determined.
