Heat transfer performances of a heat exchanger affect energy efficiency. Enhanced heat transfer technology is one to improve the overall efficiency of the heat exchanger. Today one of the enhanced heat transfer technology development trend is to transform the conventional heat exchanger components. In the conventional heat exchanger element, the circle tube has been widely used in engineer projects. But the circle tube has a larger low-wake flow zone and heat transfer performance is poor. In the thesis numerical study of rectangular finned elliptical tube based on comprehensive performance of flow resistance and heat transfer, we can seek a way of enhanced heat transfer and flow resistance. By analyzing fin parameters such as fin width, fin thickness and presence of spoiler hole in different inlet velocities. Numerical study has been performed to analyze the performance of flow resistance and heat transfer under different conditions. Use of Nu/Eu, j/f and PEC comprehensive performance evaluation of different parameters. The simulation results show that the inlet velocity is the most influential factor of comprehensive performance of flow resistance and heat transfer. With the increase spoiler hole, heat transfer increases and simultaneously,the flow resistance increases. By analyzing of cloud pictures, the conclusions are verified. Due to the bundle of staggered fin bundle and aligned fin bundle are more common in industrial production. In this thesis, numerical study of staggered fin bundle and aligned fin bundle are based on comprehensive performance of flow resistance and heat transfer. The simulation results show that aligned fin bundle of the comprehensive performance of flow resistance and heat transfer performance are better than staggered fin bundle. The thesis has some reference value and engineering significance to heat transfer performance research of rectangular finned elliptical tube.
