The huge market of automobile negative battery plug appear more and more obvious in China, but the low efficiency of manual testing methods and modern industrial production showed a huge contradiction. Thus, in modern manufacturing of the automobile negative battery plug, to ensure the stability of the production and the quality of the automobile negative battery plugs, efficiency testing equipment is becoming increasingly important. This paper will research and design the key mechanism of automobile negative battery plug automated test equipment, and will have a depth study on machine vision technologies application in automobile negative battery plug automation test, details are as follows:(1) Design the overall composition of the negative battery plug-line detection system platform.Including the function design of the mechanical structure and machine vision systems.(2) The key mechanism of the negative battery plug detection platform is designed.According to the specific testing requirements of negative battery plug and and the product itself to be detected characteristics, the device key institutions were designed.Including feeding mechanism, product dislocation mechanism, gripping the rotating mechanism, a servo shift mechanism, finished the gripping mechanism; through the three-dimensional design software of Solidworks, modeling of the key institutions.Then for the design and model components have a reasonable selection.(3) Design the overall the machine vision system of the negative battery-line detection system.Including the hardware selection of machine vision unit and a PC-Based Motion Control Unit and the selection of image processing software of programming unit and the identification of VS development platform.(4) According to the practical application of the automobile negative battery plug machine vision system, it has a depth theoretical study on the image processing technologies for the vision system.Including binary image processing, image enhancement processing, mathematical morphology image processing, image matching processing, image processing and image segmentation and feature extraction.(5) According to the image processing theory, using C# language in VS2010 developed a negative battery plug-line detection system based on the image processing software Open Evision.According to the vision system to its modular testing requirements include initializationmodule, image acquisition module, image processing module, motion control module, the auxiliary function modules.Bolt on the negative battery online testing platform for field trials,and make a reasonable analysis of the test results and improvement.The designed key mechanism and car battery post bolt visual detection vision system as an important part of the whole equipment has been successfully put into use, and it greatly improved the efficiency of the automobile negative battery plug detection, obtained the desired research purposes.
