With the rapid proliferation of electronic products and their function is increasingly diverse, the power consumption is increasing, this makes the performance requirements for power management units is becoming more and more stringent. Taking this into consideration, this paper presents a Synchronous Peak-Current Mode Boost-type DC-DC Converter with high efficiency, small output ripple and chip area, etc.First, this paper introduces the research background, current research state, common topologies, control method and feedback mode of the DC-DC converter. Then, the principle of loop stability of the system is analyzed in detail and the proposed Boost converter is modeled by Simplis software to ensure that this system is stable. Fellow, the internal structure of system is introduced, the features and design ideas of isolated module are analysised, some important circuits design and simulation are carried on Cadence Spectre with SMIC 0.18μm CMOS process in which a high power supply rejection ratio and good temperature coefficient voltage reference source without operational amplifier and resistors is proposed and a current source independent of temperature and supply voltage to provide a bias current for system module is designed. Meanwhile, a overheating protection circuit is designed in order to protect from damage caused by high temperature and prolong the service life of chip. Last, the layout of entire chip is drawed on Cadence Virtuoso and the corresponding post-simulation file av_extracted is generated.The simulation results show that the input voltage range of chip is 1.8 V to 2.8V,the output voltage is stabilized in 3.7V, the maximum output voltage ripple is 39 mV, conversion efficiency is higher than 82%, the maximum load current is 1A, operating frequency is 1M, the design meets the design specifications of the system.
