The Loess Plateau which is located in the northwest is one of the poorest areas of China, especially in rural areas, economic level is relatively backward, the lack of resources, ecological environment worsening, raw soil is suitable for the local poor superior natural conditions and poor economic condition of building materials. The traditional raw soil materials in the inherent defect of mechanics and durability is the core factor restricts the application of modern. As for the brick house now, subject to the limited resources, local economy and building technology, not only provides a real comfortable living environment, and brings a lot of energy consumption and pollution,but also aggravated the region ecological environment worsening, disagrees with the local natural and economic conditions. And new type of rammed earth houses effectively overcome the traditional raw soil buildings in the aspects of mechanics and durability of the inherent defects, and has the characteristics of low cost and simple easy to use, so under the background of the new type rammed earth dwellings is suitable for the local housing. Because so far, the new type of rammed earth houses indoor thermal environment has not been specialized research, so this paper will fill the blank of the research in this field.Through the study of the indoor thermal environment test of new type of rammed earth dwellings and compared with the traditional dwellings, the new type of rammed earth houses evaluate the status quo of the indoor thermal environment, it is concludedthat under the condition of natural ventilation in the summer, new type of rammed earth houses are comfortable indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, without heating in winter, new type of rammed earth room indoor average temperature is greater than the traditional rammed earth it is greater than the brick room, and its thermal stability is best. And in winter, for most of the farmers, the new type of rammed earth houses after normal furnace heating indoor temperature is comfortable.By means of new type of rammed earth houses envelope thermal performance calculation and indoor energy consumption simulation, compared with traditional houses at the same time, it is concluded that the new parts especially palisade structure of the thermal performance of rammed earth dwellings has significant improvement compared with the traditional folk houses, and in addition to the exterior basic meet specification requirements. The new type of rammed earth houses although heat consumption index can not meet the specification requirements, but compared with the traditional local-style dwelling houses also have significantly reduced.In addition, this article also improve the new type of rammed earth houses from the view of residential’s indoor thermal environment toward using calculation and software, set up between the sun and the new type of rammed earth outer wall heat preservation, the optimization analysis, for the further promotion of local rammed earth new residential construction guidance is put forward.
