The WEM project transmission system power consumption up to 500 kW, in essence, it converts electrical energy into the very low frequency signal. Its working principle decided it will have a huge impact for the power grid, and the grid’s power quality have a great significance on all departments of the national economy and people’s lives. Must been process to meet the relevant standards. Each power quality indicators have different effects on equipment, the degree of the influence of the power quality and measures adopted is a technical and economic problem, should by technical analysis to find the best governance programs.In the research characteristics of WEM project’s power system been prior analyzes. According to theStructural characteristics of power supply’s 12-pulse rectifier, deduced the distribution characteristics of harmonics. And a detailed analysis of the principle and distribution rule of non-characteristic harmonics which delivery from the inverter side. The use of simulation software to verify the correctness of the above analysis, and field test data once again confirms the analysis of the power system harmonic distribution.According to the harmonic characteristics of the transmission system, A detection algorithm based on instantaneous reactive scalable timeline is proposed; then, gives two practical design method of low-pass filter and deduced a discrete form. From the perspective of control theory toanalyze the principle ofPI control algorithm of DC side, obtain the transfer function in the discrete form; introduced a command current track strategybased onSVPWM algorithm, and simplify the calculation process,and re-arrangement method to optimize output harmonic through zero vector. Finally, integrated the control algorithm above obtain a complete set of active filter control strategy.Finally, design a simulation and experimental to verification the whole control system. Imitate the harmonic characteristics of WEM give plurality of harmonicsourcesuperimposed as harmonic source, simulation results show that the control system is remarkable. Then the experimental verification, the harmonics control on nonlinear load is also significant treatment effect.
